Dolly ( black and white) adopted me about 2 weeks ago and bonded with our male ( Colonel) almost instantly. He chases her around, even though she is dominant, and it warms my heart. I’ve noticed he grunts? When he chases her and when she doesn’t let him catch her. He breathes normally seconds after running, and is otherwise normal. I’ve never had a bonded pair, so im hoping this is normal. Am I being paranoid?

He needs to be neutered ASAP. Everything will get better after doing that, meaning he’ll become sweeter, more docile, etc.

be careful he doesn’t start mounting her at the “wrong end”… my boy bunny did that for a little while until we got all the surgery situations sorted out. we were worried she would get sick of it and bite him…

I don’t mean to sound harsh but why are they in such a small space? And where’s the hay?

It’s a mating sound, my male bunny does that to my female when he runs after her. Both have been fixed for a couple years. No aggressive behaviour ever comes out of mine though so just watch for that
