INFO: Ares went in for his tooth trim yesterday and they found a loose molar with pus behind it. They were able to remove it but also found some bone fragments, and during removal of those he started to bleed and it was touch and go as to if he would make it. He did, and is recovering rather well, but his dental disease is advanced (his mother was a Netherland Dwarf) and he may have an infection that’s deeper than the antibiotics can really reach or manage. Still hoping he has a long life ahead (he is 8.5) but this shook me quite a bit.
Hugs for the very best of outcomes- will say a prayer this evening for this sweet baby

I know it’s an extreme remedy, but have they considered removing the infected one? The rescue we are looking to adopt from has had to do this a few times because of buns whose teeth are too long to trim, and they seem to be fine (just slight changes to how diet is served)
