Ares hasn’t flopped since his mate died last month. He was always a flop master, and when I got him I was warned that he did “dead flops” to the point it freaked out a visiting vet at the shelter. Since her death he has gone on meds for arthritis (he was moving strangely), and had a tooth trim where they found a loose molar, pus, and bone fragments and he barely made it through with the bleeding. He took a few days to get back to himself, but is eating all his things on his own, and acting like his peppy self again. I gave him one of the fake fur rugs he loves under one of his favorite hiding spots, and woke this morning to see him all flopped out and in comfy bunny bliss. I am ecstatic.
