This reminded me of the time I couldn’t find my rabbit because got stuck behind a bed, I could barely reach him, he wasn’t moving and I couldn’t even feel his heartbeat or breathing so I had to pull him out by his legs and I thought he was dying but he was just fine.

I have relatives with that same attitude in life

My bunny used to do something similar and she wouldn’t understand it was for her own safety. I had to keep rescuing her once every hour until at a certain point I just gave up and left her there for around 10 minutes or so

She realized she was trapped and couldn’t move and started panicking before I took her out. She “learned” not to go there again because she understood she would get stuck

I gave her lots of pets and treats afterwards to make her feel better lol
