  1. I have to disagree about pet bunnies being dumped outside being an immediate death sentence. I'm sure for most it is but where I live there are tons of black and white rabbits roaming the neighborhood. Some idiot dumped his pets outside and they continue to breed and fill the streets with black bunnies.

  2. I'm getting two rescue bunnies in two weeks (unintentionally on valentines day actually). I'm so exited! They were found after having been dumped on the side of the road at only about a month old. They have lived in a foster home and are now about 6 months old. I can't wait to bring them into their forever home <3 <3

  3. Spaying and neutering seems so expensive in the states, I think that along with lack of education are huge reasons of over population of rabbits. In Germany I paid 120 euro each to get my guys fixed, from what I've seen on the rabbit forums it's much higher state side.

  4. I'm getting my first rescue rabbit this weekend, she's about 5 months old and from a hoarding situation.. I'm very excited to use all the Tipps and tricks i learned from your older videos 🙂

  5. We had a bunny who came from a hoarding situation and gave birth to 2 kits at our rescue. Sadly, she attached both babies (probably stress-related), and one passed away from these injuries. The other passed about a week later (exact cause unknown, but they were hand-feeding the bunny since mom wasn't able to take care of them). It can be hard when mom isn't able to nurse and care for them 🙁

  6. The Dodo should see this video, where people keep "saving" babies without realizing their mother is coming back.

  7. A few days ago I adopted a rabbit from the London humane society. Her name was Tanner but we changed it to Autumn. She is spayed. I am happy she is now in a room not in a cage.

  8. I always considered rabbits just too complicated. I feel like they are better off as wild animals.

  9. I kind of saved my rabbits life because she was going to be eaten and like I didn’t want her to die so I kind of adopted her she’s almost a year old now and she hasn’t got to pregnet

  10. Hi, I have two bunnies, but their stuck in a cage right now because the male got neutered. The vet said it would take 4 weeks for the surgery to be fully effective what should I do in the mean time? They are in different cages.

  11. I adore your videos, they taught me everything I know about how to care for my own bunny. But I really have to say that lately, I have to play all your newest videos at 1.25 or 1.5 speed. You speak much slower than you used to

  12. You forgot to add that momma rabbits abandon their litters at 4 weeks. Rabbit breeders wean at 8 weeks. Also it’s not uncommon for a male rabbit to mate with a female while she is giving birth. 🙃It’s also been proven a myth that a momma rabbit won’t keep her kit if someone touches it. If someone touches it she will give them a good lick bath.
If you say adopt don’t shop then what’s your opinion on keeping breeds pure? Do you want all rabbits to be mutts?
What about meat producers? Rabbit meat is healthy for you and having meat rabbits is really effective to any homestead. What about kids who participate in 4H? They have to have pure bred breeds to compete. Not all breeders are unethical and just give away/dump their babies. Being inside like a dog is not natural to a rabbit. A lot of people have amazing rabbit colonies outside with zero predator loses.

I just have so many questions! I’m just curious what your opinion is. I don’t want to sit here and argue and have a hateful match with anyone. At the end of the day we both have different opinions.

But shame on anyone who would abandon a rabbit or any animal. It’s so wonderful people are willing to step up and help them. I met a lady with a velveteen lop that is old and skinny and the lady is so ready for her to die. I’m trying to rescue her!

  13. Just lost my bunny today was my first one and i did everything possible to take care of her and make sure she was always clean and well. No warning signs just woke up to major loose stools all over her pen area and on her I was shocked wth happened when I saw her around 3 am and she was completely fine. I got up at 9:30 am and see this and shocked like wth do I do . She passed a couple of hours later even though I did what I was told and worse my whole house hold has Covid right now and I’m thinking did I make her sick or something bro she was my baby I’m crying all day like it came out of nowhere I don’t understand. She crawled up on my shoulder with the last bit of strength she had and shortly started moving weird and passed in my arms. She was only 10 weeks old 😫

  14. Truly loved this video! This is a great idea you got for such a legitimate question, especially as you don't see many on this topic on the Internet. That's also why we love you, because you are the forerunner of rabbit care on YouTube <3

  15. Rabbits are so clever animals, I am so lucky to have my Lapina dwarf lop angora female rabbit 🐰🐰🐰 🐇🐇🐇

  16. Cottontail visits their nest sites seldom. European lagomorphs visit their dens numerous times a day. They also pee around them a ton so other mothers know that part of the warren is theirs. Part of the whole reason does fight is for the right to premium nesting sites within the warren. Dens that deep are more likely to flood durring rain and the babies are more likely to get lost.
