Warning – some graphic footage of the E’s eating a bunny.
At 6 weeks old, it looks like the E’s suddenly grew up overnight! Their juvenile feathers are almost in and they are now self feeding- two important milestones. The E’s share some cute beaking together and then E17 does some nice wingercising. M brings in a small bunny and gets mobbed! E18 mantles it but E17 ultimately got it. Dad was trying to feed the bunny but E17 protected the prey so M went to the attic. He drops back down a few minutes later to fed them but once again, E17 defended the prey! E17 begins to self feed and E18 is watching and waiting for that right moment for a steal. E18 gets a few bites and pieces with a quick snatch and grab. E17 walks away from the prey and E18 gets its turn to self feed, protecting the prey from E17 and eating the remainder of the prey. Good job for both E’s! Thank you for watching!
