These are our 15 day old baby bunnies and they were unexpected!
As a birthday gift, I gave my wife two 3 month old female baby bunnies. She always wanted bunnies so this made her very happy.
However, a month or two later, Essie (short for Espresso) started humping Cappa (Cappuccino). It reached the point where they would start squabbling and fighting. We placed them in separate cages, but nearly decided to give one away because they could not get along! This caused us so much stress… So we decided to spay one of them, hoping the behavior would change.
Meanwhile, our white bunny Cappa started getting very fat, large and grew a dewlap which we found so strange! We never imagined a thing…
So I took Essie to the vet and I was told that she was looking very healthy. After about 5 minutes of praise and Q&A, the vet looks at me and says “Oh by the way this rabbit is a male. See the testies?” Mindblown!
A week later, the baby buns were born and here we are… They were born September the 5th.
