Late Spring always brings us a LOT of cold, dreary rain, dark cloudy skies but there’s always the birds and critters to keep us distracted from feeling depressed due to our lack of Sunshine.
My favorite is having the Evening Grosbeaks arrive…the noises and messes they make only last a few short days…2 weeks this time…they arrived on Mother’s Day to cheer me up…and left on Sunday, 2 weeks later. I’ve had a few travelers drop by…always wonder if there’s another flock headed our way as they migrate north to Canada.
Our yard is overcrowded with baby bunnies…and tons of little Quails with their feathered top…and soon we’ll have deer bringing their fawns…that’s always awesome, but will be a few more weeks before they’ll be here in our back yard.
