This might be our most suspenseful rabbit video to date – how long can the bunny eat for? It’s a long apple peel, and there are many bends and kinks in it. They slowly but surely get closer to the rabbit’s mouth! When will it break? Ahhh!
Maybe you saw us give Pipkin a long apple peel once or twice already. But, we wondered, was his amazing accomplishment a fluke? Was it a rare feat, or would he (could he!?) do the same thing every time?
We also wondered the affect gravity would play in his eating the peel if he was farther away and/or higher up (would it slip away from his jaws, or break?) The result of these maddening questions is the experiment you see before you.
We labeled it “ASMR” in case some viewers would enjoy the eating sounds he makes – we certainly think his chewing could be considered relaxing. What is ASMR? ASMR stands for autonomous sensory meridian response and is used to describe an experience characterized by a static-like or tingling sensation on the skin that typically begins on the scalp and moves down the back of the neck and upper spine. In short, it’ that feeling of getting “the chills.” Maybe his squishy and crunchy eating sounds will trigger you to feel it, who knows? Or maybe he will just put you right to sleep.
