Yesterday 3 bunnies were outside! A little uncommon for that many to be out at a time, usually only 2. At the very max we have seen 5 out at the same time, but that was maybe a month ago. Extremely rare to see that. I just hope I don’t ever find them dead. Today right before I was going to feed them, I was in my bedroom where I could see outside and luckily I was able to spot a giant black cat hop into the backyard. I got super worried for my babies, as they were all out of their burrow and vulnerable. Our backyard is filled with all different kinds of bushes and trees, (HOA sure wouldn’t like that) but that is their home; the minor part about that in this situation was we couldn’t see where the cat was hiding. Though we did notice that the bunnies were very still, and luckily for them instinctively, they stay in place waiting for their predator to get tired of prowling, and start to move, so that they wouldn’t get caught by it. The cat ended up coming out and so my dad raced out there scaring it away. All is well but I still worry for my bunnies at night :((
If anyone is wondering: we feed them about 15-20 carrots each day, or every other day, healthy and nutritious blocks of grass, and just recently tried giving them 3 small yogurt sweets? They are meant for bunnies though, so don’t have to worry about that. You may be able to see them in the video, as they are the small orange dots. Carrots are much bigger and longer. They still haven’t tried them yet, but its only been 2 days since we threw them out. Who knows, maybe they’ll like them?
