How to paint fur with watercolor – cute bunny rabbit with flowers

The goal of this painting, besides making the bunny as cute as possible, was to render fur realistically, but in keeping with my expressive, abstracted style of painting. I added dark details and white highlights with a very fine brush. Other materials used: 140 lb cold press watercolor paper (100% cotton) and Chinese watercolors.
