Or is it just the fur making it seem like the bunny is sitting funny? I have other photos showing it better but they aren't as high quality. (Guess sub doesn't allow multi photo posts)
It appears to be actually sitting on its bum.
Also this one behaves different from the other wild cottontails. This one's is more active, standing up high, stretching upward to look around, less skittish, cleaning paws in the middle of the yard.
Also when this specific one enters the yard all others run away. This one is the most agressive eater, tearing up whole bermuda runners and eating them end to end.
What do you guys think? This one the Alpha Bunny? Is that a thing?

I think that’s a regular old cottontail with a congenital ear deformity. Cuz that’s not how ears look on domestics or hares. The normal folds of the ear that help them actually hear properly are missing.

He just got done snackin’
