My sweet boy brownie had his incisors and molars trimmed and had a large jaw abscess drained on Thursday afternoon. It is now Saturday evening and he’s not wanting to eat still. He’s nibbled a bit of greens or a bit of banana here and there. We’ve been doing critical care every couple hours. He’s drinking his normal amount of water and peeing still. The vet didn’t prescribe pain meds, just antibiotics and a probiotic and I can tell he’s hurting. Does this sound normal? How have your rabbits behaved during the first few days of recovery after this type of procedure? When did they start getting back to normal?
