Hi all. Adopted my boy about five months ago now and he seems to finally feel at home fully, not just in the house but with me, too. Constantly grooming me and coming for pets, and stretching out to relax in places around the house rather than just the room his enclosure is in
I have moved some furniture around a bit in an effort to spring clean. But he’s started peeing in places he shouldn’t. He pees on the couch and bed which I know is normal, BUT these situations only happen when I’m “disciplining” him?
If he jumps on the couch and i move to nudge him back down, or, I move him away from biting on my desk—he bounces away then starts peeing in the rug. It’s like he pees in response to being moved away from where he wants to be. Is this just a territorial thing? He never did this sort of thing before
Additionally, he’s started peeing from what I imagine is excitement (?) when I put his pellets down in his foraging bin. I think he’s definitely acquainted the act of me putting pellets down to him being able ti pee (because he does use his foraging box as a littler box too) but he does it even when I put pellets down in one of his beds or on neutral space
Any ideas? I did just change his enclosure to a giant rabbit hutch because he kept escaping. He’s free roam so the hutch is strictly for sleeping or to go back for water/hay/litter (and he does use the littler box)
