My rabbit has been suffering from chronic mange for 10 months (since age 2 months). I’ve tried several
He is under veterinary care, but I am struggling with a resistant case and looking for supplementary advice or similar experiences
treatments with no permanent success:
• Medications: 4 doses of Ivermectin and 2 doses of
Doramectin. Symptoms clear but return within a month.
• Topical: Selamectin (Revolution) caused a severe
allergic reaction. Sulfur ointments and oils (Olive/Coconut) failed, with oils causing a secondary bacterial infection.
• Current Symptoms: Persistent mange, white eye discharge, dizziness, and nerve issues in his leg (giving B-Complex).
• Hygiene: I disinfect the cage with Clorox and diluted Diazinon every week, and sometimes every 3 days whenever he receives his injections.
I am exhausted and mostly treating the side effects rather than the mange itself. Are there any alternative solutions you have tried that successfully eliminated mange once and for all?"😭🆘😭🆘😭
