What a strange season it has been with very few Little Red flying-foxes coming into care.
Reds are nomadic and they generally arrive in large numbers during the summer months but this year we are host to a very small number of Reds.
Recently rescued by Louella, Master Rabbit was caught by his leg on a barbed wire fence but fortunately, his injuries are minor.
Now in care and feasting on fresh mangoes, Rabbit will stay with us whilst he heals before being released back to the wild to continue his life of pollination and seed dispersal.
