I’m thinking about getting a new rabbit house from seller PinkBau on Etsy (picture attached). It’s not her only hide and she free roams, but I want something a bit more structured to replace her current DIY ikea HOL house.
The seller designed it for litter trays in the bigger chamber with the plexiglass, but I’m planning to put her litter in the smaller chamber on the left since she prefers enclosed spaces. I’ve measured everything and it fits fine, but it’s a bit pricey and I wanted to get other people’s opinions.
In her current house, she has two exits that are right next to each other (picture attached). This new house has exits on opposite ends, and I’m not sure if she’ll like them being so far apart since I’ve never tried it. Has anyone had experience with houses like this? Do rabbits mind exits being far apart? Would rabbits even like a house like this?
I’m also a little concerned about cleaning and stains. Does anyone have tips for keeping this type of wood clean or preventing litter/accidents from staining it? I have messaged the seller asking about the type of finish this wood has but I’m just waiting for them to get back to me.
