Neutering question

I’ve been on the fence on if I should get my bun Pudding neutered or not, he’s approaching 1 year old now and I’ve decided I want to do it as fast as I can since I’ve heard that it’s better to do while they’re on the younger side.

There is a vet very close to me that deals with both exotic animals, cats & dogs, and even farm animals who do neuters for $250. I didn’t ask about an exam prior to the neuter so I’m not sure if that’s included in the cost, but I’ll make a guesstimate and say it wasn’t so the total price at that place would be ~$350.

However, there is a place about an hour away from me that only treats exotic pets, their neuter costs $400-450 plus an initial exam for $100, putting it at a total of around $550 max.

I don’t know which place I should take my bun to! I would think that the place that only treats exotic pets would probably be the most equipped, but I’ve seen a lot of people saying their neuter only costed in the $150-300 range, and calling higher prices a scam? 😭 I can pay it either way, I just don’t know which would be better to take him to. If the one close to me also treats exotic animals alongside common ones, does that mean they have rabbit savvy vets? Could I trust them to neuter my bun?

It’s really stressful to think about. I just want some other people’s input on which one I should go with. Also here are Pudding pics ^_^
