Rabbit nesting concerns

My gorgeous girl Pluto is a senior bun around 8-9 years old. For most her life she lived with her sister Pickled Onion, though very sadly she died around a year ago.

Pluto is freeroam but has a hutch. She has a little hidden compartment where she goes to the toilet and she has built a very large nest from her fur

Ordinarily this wouldn’t be unusual but her behaviour in the last few days has been very protective of this nest. She sits in the doorway leading to it and moves from that spot very rarely. She is far less social and doesn’t want to come for cuddles, and when she has she has not enjoyed it and nibbled and dug (her usual sign that she wants to go). This is the first time in all these years that she has been like this.

Do I need to take action? Is it worth coaxing her out then locking her hutch during the day? Or is this completely normal?

Health wise as far as I am aware she is fine
