I knew something was wrong when she wasn’t at the side of the cage to happily say good morning. She’s a little piglet and always ready for her morning food. No reaction from the sound of the bag. I poured her food in her bowl and she didn’t move. She showed all the critical signs listed. Hunched up in a position. Not wanting to move. Not eating. Floppy. And me stuck home without a vehicle to get her help. She ate fine yesterday. I barely got a reaction from holding her and petting her. I read about gi stasis. I was on DoorDash ordering gas drops and critical care and rubbing her belly. Her head flew back and she went into a seizure and passed in my arms. I’m at least thankful she was in my arms and not alone in her cage. Cremation services picking her up in an hour.
