I was always a dog person and after my golden doodle (Maggie) passed away – I didn’t think I could handle another pet (or their loss). Enter Bill – this wonderful lop bunny who we adopted after his previous caregivers moved. Despite some early costs (ear infection, eye issue, emergency vet visit), I’ve learned so much about rabbits and he has a wonderful personality. Allowing him to free roam on the first floor has made our life much more engaging. He’ll hopefully get neutered this summer and hopefully bonded (we are just planning a move and don’t want too much disruption). Just wanted to post about this wonderful new addition. That being said – I’d suggest that most people adopt since I feel like we made a positive contribution to his life/care or he’d still be in a small cage at the vet (awaiting a new home). Just wanted to share a positive story since he’s enriched our lives. 😊
