Slushie white 4yo female homeowner + bacon male 1yo calm rock but that seems to be changing.
Brought bacon home 12/30 and started dating them 1 after adjusting to being here. Moved from tub to floor a couple dates ago. Thought/hoped bacon would be more submissive but someone in this sub wished us luck because he looks like he has netherland dwarf in him. He’s been getting more confident and standing his ground rather than getting punched all the time.
Slushie has been getting more tolerant of him, escalating less and no tornados outside of 1 week ago.
Outside of this and during their free roaming they flop near each other and mirror behavior, etc. he’s always curious about her always and excited to be around her but she gets spooked or territorial.
Can anyone share how long this communication and hierarchy deal takes based on what you have experienced or see here? Partner is getting concerned this isn’t a good bond but I’m rooting for bacon sticking up for himself and dethroning the queen. He’s been so calm and steady for slushie I think he can regulate her down the line.
