a month ago i noticed some cloudiness in my sweet bucky’s left eye and took him to the vet. turns out he was developing cataracts in both eyes, and now he is almost completely blind. it happened in a matter of 2 weeks. we gave him supplements that the vet had given bc his liver function levels were low. he’s moving very slowly, no head tilt or balance loss, but kind of inches his way forward which is heartbreaking. he has the entire basement to free roam (he’s lived there his whole life so it’s familiar). we aren’t making any changes to his surroundings. he’s stopped jumping onto our couch and other surfaces and hasn’t had any zoomies in a while :(( i’m just so sad for him but i’m trying to be optimistic that he’ll live a good life without sight. he is 5 years old sooo midlife crisis ig ?? if anyone has any advice or suggestions, i’d love to hear them !
