UPDATE:
jasper is back home guyssss. He’s doing a lot better now thankfully. He’s reluctant to eat his salad still but i am giving him CC in the meantime. He is eating his hay and peeing ok too. Poops are mainly normal but some come out a bit smaller. The difficult part im dealing with rn is mellow (his brother) is not fw him rn. im hoping mellow will get over all the new smells that jasper brought home bc hes acting like he dont know jasper 😔 any suggestions on how to rebond them will be helpful.
OG: hello everyone i just rushed jasper (gray lion head) to an emergency vet tonight because i noticed him acting so strange (constantly adjusting himself like he’s uncomfortable, didn’t go around in circles like he always do w his brother mellow when i brought out salad). he let me pick him up and i seen he completely urinated on himself which has never happened before and i pressed his tummy and realized how hard it felt. i called around for half an hour til i found a tech that could see us at this ungodly hour (im from sf,ca and came to berkeley for jasper’s treatment). im currently waiting in my car while they take care of my baby and the vet told me he has a stomach blockage they will attempt to pass thru without surgery first. i hope he tolerates the procedure well im just so scared for him😔 ill get updates in a couple hours im so nervous for him. hes 6 years old and hes been super healthy up until this point w his regular check up visits. i just want him to go back to normal and be comfortable 💔 and i need ppl to tell me hes gonna be ok just some reassurance fr bc waiting is the worse part ever
