Anything I can do better? (Don’t mind his messy litter I haven’t cleaned it yet today)
He free roams, this is just his home base and I shut the gate at night so our cats don’t bother him. But he’s recently started chewing my couch and a vacuum cord! He’s about 7 years old and never done that. He has toys, he recently chewed most of them so more are on their way and I threw them out. I stuff toilet paper rolls with hay or veggies and he likes that. I use that little yellow rug as a snuffle mat cause he destroyed the last actual snuffle mat I got him 😅 He has tunnels in the room and he plays with our cats and they chase each other around. He also loves our dog and when she’s laying down he jumped back and forth across her back. His partner died about 5 months ago after they’ve been bonded their whole lives sadly. Idk if that has to do with it. He was clearly upset for the first month or 2 and we tried to spend as much time as possible with him but he’s been happier since then, back to his old self.
Any enrichment ideas? Or good toys? Also where do people get those hides you see on Pinterest that have like bridges and stuff, they’re so cool. If I were to build one, what’s the best wood to use?
We also have 3 other buns, one of which I’m trying to bond with him. Any advice on bonding would be great. Haven’t done it in 7 ish years and they made it easy. They instantly loved each other. The other bun is a male and so is he. So idk how that will go. Winston (the bun in the photo) loves other male bunnies, he’s met and few that we’ve rescued or fostered and never had issues, but they don’t always like him ofc. Reddington, the bunny we’re trying to bond with Winston, is about a year old but he’s need bonded with any of our buns before. He also doesnt love us, he’s a bit shy, he comes up to us and is fine getting treats or letting us clean but he doesn’t want to be petted or anything. So we’re hoping Winston will help him open up and they both need friends. They’re also both neat and love to only poop and pee in their litter boxes so I think they’ll appreciate the others cleanliness. Our other 2 buns are not like that, they use it but not exclusively. 😅
