i dont know what to do at this point. my rabbits pee where they please at this point, specifically around my door, my dresser, and their cage. under the cage is a very large vinyl mat that i clean almost daily because of how often they pee on it. they pee in their cage too, beside their litterboxes. they have two large (cat sized) litterboxes with constant hay in the cage. its not like they dont use them, because they do. theyre in there often. thats also the only place they can have hay is in the cage, because when i put hay elsewhere they pee around it like crazy.
because of this, my carpet is pretty wrecked in some spots, and my room smells bad. im so desensitized i dont notice it most of the time, but sometimes i do. my parents are upset because they can smell it. yesterday i used bleach water and soap to clean the mat in hopes that would get rid of the smell. of course it didnt lol. i didnt notice a difference. my mom said it still smellt bad. im in canada and its verryyy cold, so opening the windows is very discouraged in our house, especially since the heat is constantly running.
both of my rabbits are fixed and allegedly litter trained. i had apollo for 2 years and never had this issue, but now that i have daphne, theres a lot of pee everywhere. my mom thinks daphne is the one peeing, but i think its both of them.
tl;dr, my fixed and littertrained rabbits pee in my room on the floor, it smells, and i have no idea how to fix this or fix the smell. help.
