my best friend, my baby, my sweet Yoda crossed the rainbow bridge last thursday, january 22, at roughly 11:45pm mountain standard time. she was nearly 10 years old! first picture is her the day before her death, second is the day she was adopted.
on the day of her death, she was having trouble breathing. xrays showed an enlarged heart and bloodwork showed liver and kidney problems. we don't know her exact cause of death but it was her time to go. she lived a wonderful, long life full of love, affection, and play. she was humanely euthanized in the pet hospital surrounded by her entire family. she was so loved and so treasured by so many!
her favorite things: her family & friends, orange peels, berries, cilantro, heavy metal music, r&b music, snuggling, listening to her owners play the piano, guitar, & sing, massages, heating pad, taking naps under the bed, cartoons (especially the simpsons), helping fold laundry, blanket forts, playing in her dig box, begging for human food
her least-favorite things: car rides, the vet, not having her space respected, being alone, taking medicine, getting her butt cleaned
I miss her more than I can say. she's been my constant companion for nearly 10 years. she feels like a part of myself. my house is so empty and so quiet without her running around and squeaking everywhere.
I will remember her and love her forever and ever. I find comfort in knowing that she enjoyed a very long and happy life, she is no longer in any pain, and maybe I will get to see her again someday.
