We call this particular type of rabbit petting “just being born” petting, because of the way it smushes the rabbit’s face. When you pull his face back how he likes it, it pulls his lips apart, and you can see the rabbit’s teeth. When the rabbit is really relaxed, he purrs and grinds his teeth. The rabbit also likes his muzzle massaged, right behind his whiskers, and the rabbit likes his ears rubbed as well, of course.
Trying to provide the pinnacle in luxury, the human places his hand underneath the rabbit’s chin, fully supporting the rabbit’s head and upper body weight, so that the rabbit can just totally relax. However, whenever he is being pet, the rabbit always feels like he has to reciprocate immediately, hence why he is licking the human every chance he gets. What a kind, loyal beast! It is okay, Pipkin! Just relax and enjoy yourself!

The rabbit is sorry his muzzle is a little dirty – the rabbit just finished eating his dinner. Usually the rabbit cleans his face and snout immediately after eating, but he could not pass up the opportunity for a good petting.
