Finnegan is my 7 year old netherland dwarf bunny also the light of my life. Recently he’s been sneezing, a little lethargic and his eyes have been bulging. I took him to the vet for some blood tests and an X-Ray. The bloods were perfect but he has a mass on his heart pointing likely to a Thymoma. Because of his size and age we opted for the steroid treatment of Prednisolone.
Has anyone had experience with this and what should I expect?
The vet said he may become quite immunocompromised from the medicine, my worry is he is a free roaming bun and has access to majority of the house. Does anyone have any tips on the type of cleanliness and environment I should maintain?
Any and all advice is appreciated, i’m so sad but really want to be prepared for him and give him the absolute best quality of life I can❤️🩹
