This is Butters! We just adopted him from a rescue and have been slowly working on bonding.
I’ve noticed he makes these little noises only when I’m holding him and petting him — not when he’s on the ground getting pets or at any other time. I don’t usually carry him around, but I first noticed it when I had to give him some medicine last week.
In this video he’s lying on my chest on the couch. I’m supporting his butt, but he’s totally free to hop off me and go back to “his” spot on the couch whenever he wants.
Does anyone know what these sounds might mean?
Also, please do not come for me. He was neutered at the shelter and we know he is (overweight). He has no major health issues aside from being deaf. We are working with our wonderful vet on a weight loss plan and he already down some of the extra “butter”.. lol.
