This is Ginger. Curious to know what this wee girls breed is. Long story around her – but she’s a 2-3 month old that’s been abandoned but managed to survive under our deck until we’ve recently got her to cuddle up with us (she’s munched through all the spinach and green beans in the vege gardens, little Peter Rabbit-esk). We’ve taken her to the vets and got her a check up + first vaccination, and whilst she is a little underweight – 200grams should be about 300-350grams, she is otherwise very healthy. The vet suggested she might be a mini lop, but may be a little hard to tell just yet with her being so young?
I would have thought the mini lop ears would have been significantly droopy/longer by now? Could be wrong, we have not had rabbits before but she will be going to a loving home shortly and figured before we send her off I could find out a little more about her whilst we bring her weight up as per our vets instructions. She has been so adorably cuddly, does this funny little happy twirly hops when she’s all done eating and is overall a happy wee girl.
Pictures make her look a bit bigger than she is, she fits in a single palm, and loves to curl up under my chin to be cozy, she has grown a little bit and put some weight on in the last week.
If anyone can help with Ginger’s breed I’d love to learn a bit more to be able to give her more of the right things that’d be good for her. Thank you!
PS: we’re in New Zealand, if that changes anything…
