I suspect my sweet girl (left) has a UTI or similar. She's acting completely normally, eating, drinking, pooping, and even binkying, but she's had 2 accidents outside of the literbox and is straining a bit to pee. No visible blood in urine as far as I can tell.
I'm planning to take her to the emergency vet today to get her urine tested, and wanted to hear people's experiences going through this. How do they collect urine there? They didn't want me to collect it, and I'm worried about the stress she'll go thru of them collecting it there, when overall she seems to still be doing relatively well. I also know that this needs to be treated asap before it gets any worse. I have an appointment with her normal vet, but it's 2 weeks from now unless there are cancellations, so not an option.
Any experience with this is much appreciated, for what I can expect at the vet, or what tests they should do etc. Thank you so much!
