so i’ve had one of my buns for over 5 years and currently have 4 (3+1 pending successful bond) so i generally have my routine for caring for & cleaning up after them. i’ve had mental illness/disability forever (TRD, ADHD) but this isn’t really my issue. my bunnies actually really help me in that regard.
my issue is that ive been increasingly developing physical disability (doctors haven’t been able to find the cause but thats a whole other issue). i am in pain all the time, and i cannot tolerate even the lightest activity, especially when bending is involved. obviously this makes most daily/weekly chores exponentially more draining. i’ve tried to search online to see if anyone has had a similar experience and had any tips to make cleaning up any easier, less frequent, or quicker but can only find posts about disabled bunnies instead of disabled owners.
so… i wanted to reach out here to see if anyone had any tips that have worked for you, or a disabled friend, or just anything you think might help. of course, i will always make sure they have their needs met because they certainly deserve it and they are so special to me. but anything that can make cleaning up (especially changing litter) any easier would be a huge help to me and my buns.
thank you! (photo unrelated, just wanted to show off one of my pairs- pepper & dewie)
