I was recently asking about my hay setup. Most of you said that my bunny looked uncomfortable, so I made a couple of changes. I added hay to the litterbox, but decided to keep the pot, so there's still a bit of a divide (the main problem was that my bunny was peeing on the hay, then eating it). Do you think he's comfortable like this?
I also decided to completely remove the enclosure. He was barely using it, it was just taking up space and it was hard to clean. Plus I got scared that my bunny might be afraid of it (despite the door being open almost 24/7), because prior to me adopting him he was mostly living in a small cage.
Additional question: I keep adding fresh hay to the pot (multiple times a day), even though there's always quite a lot of hay left, because my bunny gets excited every time there's a bit of fresh hay added and he eats more hay like this. So I was wondering how often should I completely empty the pot, discharge the hay that hasn't been eaten (despite the fact it's still clean) and fill the pot with completely fresh hay.
