what can i use instead of the cone?
so i just got my bun spayed and since i live in iran, there's no such thing as a rabbit vest that i can purchase, so instead the vet gave me a goddamn cone which both me and my baby hate. she struggles to move around with this thing around her head, she can not eat her cecotropes, can barely eat hay, will spill water every where whenever she tries to drink , and pees where ever she's sitting cuz she does not want to move while wearing the cone. she also cannot groom herself. all of this unless i am watching her and obviously even if all my time was free i still couldn't do that.
what do i do? there are 10 days left before her stitch can be removed and i don't want her to be in such misery for 10 more days. i have thought of using bandages but she would probably remove those whiting 2 seconds. i even tried making a vest, which didn't work, obviously. so please, give me any suggestions that you may have for replacing the cone with something more comfortable.
fun fact: timothy hay and meadow hay are also non existent here, the only type of hay available for rabbits is alfalfa. not even the seeds are sold so i can't even grow may own hay, and i cant afford the cost of shipment from other countries. what a great place to live in. yay.
