Getting a rabbit in a year or so

I am looking in too getting a rabbit in a year or so I have been doing research on rabbits and I think I have the basic knowledge of it. Last year I bought my own house and I got a puppy she is now a little over a year old and I have noticed that she is very sweet and well mannered (I’m also training her to be my service dog) she a small dog (cavalier King Charles spaniel) when I take her on walks and we see wild rabbits she seems to pay no attention to them other then the one time one jumped out of a bush and sort came right at us it slightly startled her then she wanted to chase it but this incident has not happened again. I have a playpen that I use for my dog when I leave the house but when I’m ready to get a rabbit I plan to use it for the rabbit (the rabbit will be 90% free roaming) I have two room in my place one is my craft/spare room and my other is my bedroom. I plan to keep the rabbit in the spare room free roaming unless I’m in there with my dog or when I’m sleeping because my dog has not much interest in the wild rabbits outside I was wondering if you guys think it would be safe too train/bond my dog and the rabbit to be friends. I will also show a picture of the playpen that I plan to use and I would like some feed back on it as well
