7 weeks ago I rescued Oschon, who was dumped near my parents' house. I post just about weekly in this subreddit if you're looking for more on his history…
But on to the title – nothing could have prepared me for how sweet and loving a bun is. I've cried before about his coming around in a few short weeks after being betrayed by people… But now he comes over and "hugs" me like this when I sit down with him. He's began licking me for pets instead of the (gentle) nibbles which is so so sweet, and I've even witnessed a binky this week too! Oschon absolutely melts and flattens when I scritch his ears, closing his eyes and "purring" with teeth grinds sometimes even until he falls asleep.
Y'all, I was so unprepared for how cute and sweet they are.

I’m 250lbs at 6’3” and my little buns bring me to my knees for scratches and pets. They warm my heart just to see them play. I feel like Lennie from “Of Mice and Men” some days after work. Just want to pet the rabbits
I know right. They’re very intuitive and loyal, especially when they become bonded with you. Wish you many long years and tons of binkies

Reading this as mine just came running to give me company while I work from home, they sit and flop near my feet 😊 this was yesterday. I had the same reaction as you when I got my first bun! Had no idea how truly amazing and intelligent they are. I’m so happy for you and that you get to feel the love 🥰 if you start teaching them tricks you’ll be amazed all over again!
