It’s been about a month since my post of my new bunny & after taking him or her to the vet we found out they had a pretty bad case of coccidia. I believe worms as well. The vet also gave me medicine for the gray one.
They’re both doing good now but they are separated. The vet said they will consider neuter/spay at about 4 months so we’re just waiting a couple more weeks.
They’ve had some pretty intense tussles with each other ripping hair and even a bit of skin. Before I separated them for good they would sit face to face I guess doing the groom off but eventually Honeybun (orange one) would try to mount and Bugzy (gray one) would defend his space.
They’ve been eating a mix of Oxbow Timothy, Orchard & Alfalfa. They love the alfalfa and the other hay types will just sit in their bins so I try to limit alfalfa but also keep their hay intake steady. They also have a good, if not unlimited, amount of young rabbit pellets. Also 1 simple rewards treat a day.
Sorry if this post is all over the place I’m at work making it lol. If you have any tips or bunny hacks I’d appreciate them! (Bonding after neuter/spay, litter box set ups, cage set ups, litter types.. literally anything)
