Here are the guys, Ella (black) and Bella (gray), practicing radical energy conservation during the day (rabbitat is open – they come and go as they please). The second picture shows a closeup of Bella casually dipping his ear in the water bowl. The water and pellet bowl are both on the “second floor,” and both bunnies like to relax there. I have seen both boys apparently unconcerned about the ear soak in this posture.
Do they know that their ear is in the water? Do they do this intentionally?
Any thoughts welcome!
