Show me your special-needs buns!

We currently have two:

Snowbun, who is a REW dwarf that suffered a lumbar spinal fracture due to being mishandled and dropped before he was surrendered to the shelter we adopted him from. No one expected him to recover but he did – he does have permanent partial rear leg paresis which means he cannot hop or walk normally. He scoots around and one of his little leggies sticks out. What he lacks in proper mobility, he makes up for in dwarf bunny sass but also he is a kisser and loves to just lick you to death. His condition is not curable so we manage inflammation and pain with daily Gabapentin, Meloxicam as-needed, stretching snd physical therapy, chiropractic adjustments, and butt-baths when needed.

Roussanne is a black & white dutchie girl with glaucoma in her right eye. She is sassy but also sweet, and once she bonded with Snowbun it's the best thing to watch them get into grooming wars and cuddle piles. We know her condition could degenerate in the future and end with her losing sight in the affected eye, or that we may need to remove the eye if treatments to manage the eye pressure stop being effective.

I know that animals with special care needs are often passed over at shelters because people don't want to commit to their long-term care. I'm so thankful that we could give these two amazing bunnies forever homes and I could not imagine our lives without them!
