Hes a lion head dwarf mix, 11 years old and unneutered. Hes < 3 lbs. He is slowly dying from a suspected brain tumor .
I cannot get him to drink water, hes always had a bowl, which hes refusing to drink out of. I gave him some ice water (his favorite) and he wont drink it either. He seems to of lost control of his bladder as well. His pee looks rusty in color. Hes been having abnormal poops. He will eat a little bit, but not much. Hes having a lot of trouble walking and is very wobbly. He also keeps squeaking which is abnormal for him. He hates most veggies and only eats apples, bananas, and blueberries so I know he hasn't gotten water from that. He gets plain Timothy hay pellets.
Hes often unresponsive in his cage, lying in scary positions.
Im extremely concerned, is there anything I can do to help him?
Update: He still wont drink and is refusing everything I offer. He hasn't peed or pooped all day. He is still grooming himself but thats about it. Refusing syringe feeds as well.
Update: He ate some lettuce 🥹
Update: He ate some overnight and is doing better this morning!
Edit: i just want to add that my parents are against euthanasia and cant afford a vet. Ive offered to pay and they've said no, and they wont accept financial help. They dont believe hes suffering and are set on having him pass naturally. I would do anything for my baby and im so mad I cant help him. Thanks to everyone for their advice and compassion 🖤🥹
