Cages as litter boxes

Hi everyone! Jupiter (3M) is a fully free roam bun who has access to the entire house, but he typically chooses to hang out within my bedroom. I know that cages are generally frowned upon, but he has had one since he came home 3 years ago. This cage is never closed; Jupiter has been a free spirit/bunny since he began terrorising me then. I’m currently using Savic’s Nero 2 (pic 1) with the cage door removed and a ramp installed, that serves as a litter box and hay dispenser, but sometimes he uses the little space under the plastic platform to sulk alone when he’s upset. Unfortunately, I recently noticed a small crack in said platform (I probably leaned my fat ass against it) and thought I would replace the entire cage seeing as it has been 3 years.

As bun parents, I would like to know your thoughts on the Ferplast 100! I will most likely transfer the ramp to the Ferplast, but will build a new one if the dimensions don’t fit. That being said, does anyone have experience with the Ferplast 100? As far as I can tell it’s slightly bigger than Savic’s.

Again, I’d like to reiterate that it would purely serve as a literal open house for Jupiter as he’s already free roam! So the door will be removed for him to go in and out as he pleases. This way he’ll still have his sad man cave since his tunnels, pillows and bed are apparently only for excitement. Thank you!
