This breaks our hearts but we have to find a new home for our little Curie.
Curie is a three years old mini lop, female and not spayed. I don't think she's had any shots; we received her from a breeder at an expo.
Curie is very treat and food motivated, litter trained and extremely curious. She loves to explore and get into some mischief. She loves having space to run around and will binkie all over if she has the space.
She has a hard time sharing her space with other animals (it might be due to her not being spayed), and can be a bit territorial. She sometimes pees in front of our chinchillas' pens so we don't let her near them. She is otherwise very litter trained.
A weird quirk about Curie: she's a bit of a mouser, and has caught one mouse that managed to get in our home.
Curie is still getting used to being picked up, but stays calm when held when we are brushing her or clipping her nails. She does not like her backside being touched, particularly near her tail. We fear that she was used for breeding at a very young age. However, she has improved significantly with being handled, and will fall asleep as we pet her while holding her.
We no longer have the space she deserves to run around, and we are too busy working to give her the attention she deserves. We don't want to rehome her, but she would be much happier with more space and attention, so this living situation is not fair to her.
We are located in the Fox Valley area in Wisconsin. We want to ensure that she goes to a home that will love and care for her. She will come with a few bags of pellets (we accidentally over ordered), some toys, her litter box, a little lounge chair she loves to sit in, etc. We also have an optional outdoor hutch if you have the space for it, so she can spend some time in a safe outdoor setting.
