Hello! So, yesterday morning we adopted Simon, a 2 month old baby bunny. Now we are trying to make him adapt and live a happy and healthy bunny life with us. But a problem appeared.
Initially we bought an aviary (you can see it in the back of the picture) and a white cage. Only when they arrived we noticed that the cage opens only at the top, so Simon wouldn't be able to leave it when it's open. And we want him to be able to have space, so we decided to only put him in the aviary. However, today it turned out that he is able to get through the aviary and leave it, because Simon is still small. This is dangerous and may lead to several problems. Right now he is in the cage. What should we do? Maybe put him in the cage while we're sleeping or away and put back to the aviary when we can watch him? Until he grows up and becomes big enough. But rabbits don't like being lifted! So this might be a problem for our communication. Thoughts? Please help.
