I just bought a home with a yard. We have a handful of wild rabbits which I love! They bring me so much joy. I think they are eastern cotton tails and I’m pretty sure they mostly live under our shed.
The issue is that at some point I’d like to tear down and redo the shed. But I don’t want to displace or chase away my little friends 🙁
This is a project I want to do probably in a year or two, so it’s not a rush, and I’m thinking maybe I can work on transitioning their home elsewhere in the yard and then remove the shed. Are there any suggestions on habitats for wild bunnies or how to encourage them to move? I’m glad to buy them alternative homes etc but the internet isn’t offering me great solutions since most homeowners want to get rid of their bunnies, not help them.
