I feel so blessed, I just happened to see my backyard bunny dig a nest 8 days ago (posted video). I quickly checked her nest a few times this week and it always looked like it was undisturbed. Ever since she dug this nest a small male bunny has been hanging out with her. Today at 4:30 I happened to see them both in the side yard, and she was right over the nest! The male paced back and forth all the while, when she was done they both bolted into the back field! I haven't seen a baby bunny in my yard in many years, I hope these babies survive! I taped off the area so the mowers stay away but can't do it another week grass will be too high. How can I protect them? Is this normal for a pair of bunnies to tend to the nest?
