This amazing tourist destination is a small island located in the Inland Sea of Japan in the city of Takehara, Hiroshima Prefecture. It is often called Usagi Jima (ウサギ島, “Rabbit Island”) because of the countless bunny rabbits that roam the island. Almost all of them are tame and will approach humans when offered a treat! No one knows exactly how they got there, but it’s believed they were released on the island after World War II when the island was turned in to a park.
