Hello everyone☺️
This is my baby Obsidian, I adopted her 1 week ago from a family who wasn’t giving her the attention she needed. I’m aware that this cage doesn’t give her the freedom of movement she requires and I ideally want to have her run around my home and just go back to her cage to use the litter box and to sleep. Her previous owners would leave the bottom of the cage open and she would come and go as she please. I’ve been leaving it open for her but she refuses to even go down to the lower level. Should I let her get comfortable and start leaving on her own? Should I start taking her out of her cage and putting her on the floor with me to get used to being outside her safe place? I want her to have the room to move around but also don’t want to make her not trust me.
