My female 9 week old bunny has moist, squishy poo that is dark brown but completely normal on the inside as in it’s dry and is hay, her poos are also smelly if you put it up close but not so strong that u can smell it from the ground. My male’s poos are only moist when fresh and then are completely dry and don’t smell at all. They both eat the same food so I don’t think it could be a diet thing?
My male has EC and they found worm eggs in his poo when they tested it at the vet which he is on medication for. The female has no signs of having EC, I think we got lucky because we had separated them about a week or 2 before the male started to show any signs at all. Although she was walking on his pee in the play pen as we didn’t clean it so often (it’s very hard to clean so we wash it about once a week) and they shared a cage but only one was in there at a time. I know EC is transmitted through pee so if she has it it’s laying dormant for now and we can’t give her medication for it as we don’t have the money and she isn’t showing and symptoms.
