Hey guys,
I am feeling a little stressed out. I have my two bunnies Thumpy (male almost 6 months & neutered) and Bébi (female almost 5 months). When I got them, they were already together and I picked those two because they had such a good bond from the start. It’s been going well until a few days ago I noticed Bébi is thumping at random times and overall seems angry. She’s always been a grumpy bun and I definitely feel much closer to Thumpy, who is sociable and seems to like me. Now since yesterday I noticed she’s gone full on mean mode, thumping at Thumpy and trying to hump him and biting him. He tries to avoid it but she persists and then sometimes he gets back at her. I separated them for the night and this morning released them both in the flat (during the day they free roam) but they immediately went back to fighting! So I put her back in the pen and Thumpy is roaming.
It’s a weird situation because they always got along great but last night the vibe was terrible and Thumpy was super stressed out. Her I’m having more of a hard time reading her because she’s not really bonding with me. But lately her angry face is permanently on and last night she was vicious :/
Thumpy is sitting near the pen (he cannot see her). He seems worried about her? I’m not fluent in bunny yet… I’m thinking to bring them to the vet this week. But what are your thoughts?
